The Falklands Smock was named by the Lockwood community as a respectful nod to those who served in that era, and to the old stories of DPM waxed smocks worn as hard-use waterproof kit in brutal South Atlantic conditions.
This is not a replica.
It is a modern Lockwood reworking of that spirit.
Crafted from Halley Stevensons waxed cotton, the Falklands is built for proper British weather and proper daily wear. Durable, weatherproof, and cut for ease of movement, it is made to be used without fuss in the field, on the yard, in the countryside, and anywhere a jacket needs to earn its keep.
Like everything Lockwood stands for, it is built with purpose. No empty heritage claims. No imitation history. Just a proper British-made smock that respects the past while being made for the present.
Each one is individually numbered, backed by a ten-year guarantee, and covered by lifetime repairs.
Because proper kit should not be disposable.

Return & Refund Policy
We want you to love your Lockwood piece. If something isn't right, here's how we'll sort it.
Returns
If you'd like to return an item, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order with your order number and reason for return. Items must be unworn and in their original condition with tags attached. Return postage is the customer's responsibility.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If an item arrives back in a condition that doesn't meet the above, we reserve the right to decline the return or issue a partial refund.
Exchanges
Need a different size? Send the original item back first and we'll ship the replacement to you at no extra charge once it's received and approved, subject to availability.
Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged or with a fault, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item and packaging. We'll put it right.
Non-returnable items
We're unable to accept returns on sale items, gift cards, or personalised products.

Have started to test out my Falklands smock.....blowy days......light drizzle.....nothing extreme yet, but heading to Windy Norfolk.....Cumbria and Scotland in the months ahead and so it'll be thoroughly tested before the year is out.
First impressions are.....tough, reliable, really well made......great hood......but an observation this brand comes up on the smaller side so error on the side of going larger, especially if you want layers underneath......I'm a 40" chest and the large is just big enough, will probably buy an extra large if I buy another to allow for cold weather winter layers on. The large I have will cover Spring through Autumn and probably just around zero etc with a thick shirt and jumper etc.
Overall very impressed and Jacob has provided excellent customer service 👏.....I expect to be using this coat a lot for many years to come for walking, hiking, birdwatching and bushcraft....and a blend of all the above......I'll review again after a full test over this year.

Coming out of the forces I couldn’t justify the Brecon smock, but treated myself to the Arthur instead. It is genuinely the best built / best quality piece of clothing I’ve ever owned. You can see the quality in every aspect, right down to the smallest detail. If I had to pick one (very very tiny) issue, it would be the length. I’m 6’3” and wear a 2XL, and it could be ever so slightly longer in the sleeves / length, but it’s a very minor issue for such a good bit of kit. I’ve worn it as both a smart option over my work clothes, and in to the Fells on shoots, and it’s held up to both without fault. The customer service is also without fault, this is a brilliant company; I’ll be buying from Lockwood again, worth every penny
