The ten-year guarantee
Every Lockwood coat and smock is cut, stitched and finished in Britain, and we stand behind that work for ten years from the date of purchase. The guarantee transfers with the garment if it is passed on.
- How the garment is made: seams and stitching, pockets pulling away, hems and cuffs coming undone, linings separating, fastenings coming off their anchoring, panels parting at the joins
- Zips and hardware. A failed zip is replaced
- No proof of care needed. If the work has failed, that is on us
WHAT IT COVERS
- Fair wear and tear, including fading, softening and the wax finish wearing thin
- Accidental damage: snags, tears, burns, barbed wire
- Misuse, or alterations and repairs by someone else
- Loss or theft
WHAT IT DOES NOT COVER
Email jacob@lockwoodsmocks.com with your name and a photograph of the problem. No receipt is needed; your name is enough. Once we have had a look, send the garment to:
Lockwood Clothing, Unit 1 Houghton Street, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 2BB
We pay the postage on guarantee claims. Repairs take two to three weeks.
HOW TO CLAIM
RE-WAXING
Having your garment re-waxed by The Traditional Rewax Service, or by anyone else, does not affect this guarantee.
DAMAGE THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT
Where the damage is not ours, repairs are charged at cost.
BEYOND TEN YEARS
We would rather repair a garment than see it thrown away, so get in touch whatever its age.
COVERAGE ACROSS THE RANGE
The ten-year guarantee applies to all smocks and coats.
