Have started to test out my Falklands smock.....blowy days......light drizzle.....nothing extreme yet, but heading to Windy Norfolk.....Cumbria and Scotland in the months ahead and so it'll be thoroughly tested before the year is out.
First impressions are.....tough, reliable, really well made......great hood......but an observation this brand comes up on the smaller side so error on the side of going larger, especially if you want layers underneath......I'm a 40" chest and the large is just big enough, will probably buy an extra large if I buy another to allow for cold weather winter layers on. The large I have will cover Spring through Autumn and probably just around zero etc with a thick shirt and jumper etc.
Overall very impressed and Jacob has provided excellent customer service 👏.....I expect to be using this coat a lot for many years to come for walking, hiking, birdwatching and bushcraft....and a blend of all the above......I'll review again after a full test over this year.

Amazing jacket, has been great for keeping me dry on my long dog walks. Doesn't come with any insulation but lots of space underneath to layer up underneath to stay warm.

Wow!!! What a great product. Looks great on is a great coat for keeping warm and able to vent as well. It’s pricey, BUT you can see where the moneyed spent from the moment the courier drops it off. I will be buying more products for the company, but am content it’ll be 10years + until I need to look at another smock.
