Every smock is soldier-designed and British-made top to bottom, keeping skills, jobs, and money in the UK. It’s hands-on, personal, and done properly because if it won’t stand up when it matters, it doesn’t leave us.
This week brings the announcement we've been sitting on for a little while — James Martin, entrepreneur, is joining Lockwood as a business partner. Along with factory visits across the Black Country, birthday celebrations at the Royal Collection, a hand delivery to a local business, and Ruth upstairs packing for our honeymoon as I write this. Here's everything.
The first episode of our Fitted for Service series launches 7th August at 8PM. Phil served as a mortarman with 2 Para in the Falklands War — landing at San Carlos, fighting at Goose Green, and pushing on to Tumbledown and Wireless Ridge, where his war came to an end. Jacob travels to Phil's home, hears his story, and fits him personally in the Lockwood Falklands Smock.
Three days of filming with the documentary crew. Ruth's grandmother passing peacefully in Ireland. The first hundred metres of our own Harris Tweed arriving at the factory. The Lifeguards polo top going live. And a letter written to the Prime Minister. It's been a week of contrasts grief and growth, quiet moments and big launches. Here's all of it.
