Great fit and quality. I love the contrasting collar.
The Suffolk lambs wool gilet is beautifully made, offering exceptional warmth and comfort with the adjustable classic or tailored fit. Soft, breathable, and effortlessly stylish, it’s the ideal layer for cooler days and I can’t wait for winter!
Quality is impeccable, service surpasses even that.
A truly beautiful bit of clothing. Fits great, has a nice “weight” to it which adds to the quality. Good sized pockets with zips. Warm, extremely well made. 100% British made too which should be all you need to know. Company has great moral values too owned by a serving member of our Armed forces. I’m already saving for my next purchase!
This gilet is fantastic.
With quality manufacturing easily adjusted to fit and it’s a great British product
Robust and well built.
Heavyweight wool - I think will keep out the biting East Anglian wind in the winter. Very high quality construction. Delighted.
Great looking warm top , great on my old 1963 Triumph 650 on warm days with cut off sleeves , steve McQueen would have loved one , it would have made the king of cool even cooler
Superb quality, great service. Love it. ❤️
Perfect size beautiful quality material lovely to wear definitely recommend
Just wanted to drop a quick reply now I’ve been able to collect my smock.
Just wow, super happy with it! The sizing is actually perfect for me in pretty much every way, even the arms fit well instead of dangling off my wrists like usual.
You’ve done an outstanding job! Look forward to seeing your future and where this goes, can’t wait for the Suffolk Wool Gilets!
Hopefully it’s pissing down at Badminton and can get it deployed for a proper outing!
From one bloke serving to another, I wish you all the best fortune with this.
God save the king 🇬🇧
Fantastic Gilet, comfortable and warm.
When you look closer you can see the pure dedication to quality and simply getting it right. Everything about it seems solid and robust.
The chunky brass zip and thick adjustable elastic toggles on the hip and waist make this gilet a wardrobe staple.
I recently received the Churchill cap and the fleece gilet. I’ve been wearing both over the past few weeks and I am more than massively impressed.
I’m a guy who’s always had flat caps and fleece gilets as a staple of his wardrobe, and these are some of the best I’ve ever owned. The materials are top notch, the workmanship is durable and the design is exactly what you want when you’re out on the ground.
These are not just well thought out products, but you can see the time that’s been invested in getting the right quality materials and working with the right manufacturers. The cap has already proven to be truly waterproof and rip proof and the gilet is serving me perfectly as both a mid and top layer in the typical British spring!
For me, to have UK source products of this quality is great - when you compare the price tag to equivalent mass manufactured products that don’t have half the quality in material or build, this is everything you could ask for in your outdoor wear.
The second you put the gilet you understand why backing British manufacturing just makes sense. Everything down to the little details, the zips, the panelling design, the pockets, the collar. Ticks every box! Oh and it’s looks the blocks aswell
The jacket showcases outstanding craftsmanship and high-quality material, reflecting thoughtful design tailored for demanding environments. After testing it in cold conditions, I was impressed by its exceptional performance—it kept me warm with just and effectively blocked out wind entirely.
To further improve this already excellent product, I have a few suggestions for future iterations:
- **Air Vent Zips:** Adding zippers under the armpits would be a valuable feature to improve ventilation, especially during active use.
- **Rank Slide Placement:** While functional, the rank slide could benefit from being adjusted slightly—perhaps about an inch higher—for optimal visibility and practicality.
- **Hood Strap Design:** The hood strap could be redesigned for easier rolling and secure pinning when not in use, particularly for wear in barracks. Currently, the existing strap feels challenging to roll neatly and fasten down effectively.
Overall, this jacket excels in comfort and protection, meeting the needs of soldiers operating in harsh environments with remarkable quality and functionality.
