What should have been a brilliant day turned into a bit of a nightmare so let's start there.
We picked up the new batch of Brecon Smocks and got straight into processing payments for everyone who'd pre-ordered. Except the website had other ideas. Somewhere in the process, it blocked out payment details for a chunk of our pre-order customers, and what should have been a straightforward afternoon turned into a weekend of individually following up with every single one of them.
76 customers in total needed chasing. As I sit here writing this on Bank Holiday Monday, we've caught up with 38 of the 76 so far, just over half. If you pre-ordered a Brecon and haven't heard from us yet, please don't think you've been forgotten. Check your emails, and if you still can't see anything, reach out to us directly and we'll get you sorted.
This morning we went back out to re-shoot some fresh media of the Brecon, to show off a few small changes and adaptations we've made to it since the last batch. While we were out, we also caught up with one of our pre-order customers who lives locally, so we dropped his Brecon round to him in person.
We've ended up doing a fair few home deliveries around the Black Country lately, and it's genuinely become one of the best parts of the job. There's nothing quite like handing someone their smock face-to-face and hearing what they think of it on the spot.
On Friday we headed over to Leicester to meet a new polo top manufacturer, and it was a real pleasure to meet Karandeep a lovely gentleman, and one of those funny small-world moments where it turned out we both knew the same person, and had remarkably similar opinions on him.
Saturday was spent re-shooting our jet washer testing videos, covering the Brecon, the Churchill, and the Metropolitan. If you haven't seen the originals, it's always worth a watch, there's nothing quite like seeing exactly what these smocks are built to take.
God bless, God save the King,
Jacob Lockwood
