Lockwood Smocks is proud to announce the launch of two limited-edition outerwear pieces that pay tribute to Britain’s legacy of rugged, handmade clothing: the Vintage Arthur and Vintage Henry Wax Smocks. Available now for pre-order at an exclusive wholesale launch price, these smocks are a bold step forward in our mission to revive British manufacturing, one stitch at a time.
Handmade in Britain with Scottish Wax Fabric and Genuine Harris Tweed
Both smocks are made using Halley Stevensons’ Everwax Vintage waxed cotton, a premium Scottish wax fabric woven in Dundee — the birthplace of waxed cotton since the 1800s. Known for its rich patina, breathability, and durability, Everwax Vintage develops a unique character over time, making each smock truly your own.
Lining the hoods of both smocks is authentic Harris Tweed, handwoven in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Harris Tweed is protected by law and known worldwide for its strength, warmth, and timeless beauty. These two iconic materials — waxed cotton and tweed — come together to create luxury outerwear built for both field and town.
The Vintage Arthur: For the Working Countryside
The Vintage Arthur Wax Smock, cut in deep olive green, is tailored for gamekeepers, farmers, and those who live and breathe the outdoors. It’s functional, hardy, and unashamedly traditional — the kind of jacket you can wear in the woods at dawn or the yard at dusk. With its Harris Tweed hood lining, it combines practicality with quiet heritage.
The Vintage Henry: For Smarter Country Living
The Vintage Henry Wax Smock, in a refined navy blue, takes the same rugged DNA but adds a touch of sophistication. Perfect for long walks, pub lunches, and everything in between, the Henry is your go-to for smart-casual countryside wear. It’s as tough as it is timeless — and 100% British-made.
Pre-Orders Now Open — At Wholesale Price
Both the Vintage Arthur and Henry are now available for pre-order at a wholesale launch price of £380 (RRP £540) — secured with just an £80 deposit.
