The Metropolitan Smock earned its name through the Lockwood community, customers, supporters, and like-minded individuals who believe British manufacturing still matters. It represents a new kind of British outerwear: built for those who move effortlessly between the city and the countryside.

Constructed from 1000D PU-coated nylon with a 4oz PU-lined nylon lining, the Metropolitan is built to withstand serious use while remaining comfortable enough for everyday wear. Durable, weather-resistant, and designed for freedom of movement, it performs just as well on a wet city street as it does in the field.
Designed by a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Coldstream Guards and handmade in the heart of the West Midlands, the Metropolitan Smock reflects the Lockwood commitment to doing things properly with British materials, British craftsmanship, and no shortcuts.

Return & Refund Policy
We want you to love your Lockwood piece. If something isn't right, here's how we'll sort it.
Returns
If you'd like to return an item, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order with your order number and reason for return. Items must be unworn and in their original condition with tags attached. Return postage is the customer's responsibility.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If an item arrives back in a condition that doesn't meet the above, we reserve the right to decline the return or issue a partial refund.
Exchanges
Need a different size? Send the original item back first and we'll ship the replacement to you at no extra charge once it's received and approved, subject to availability.
Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged or with a fault, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item and packaging. We'll put it right.
Non-returnable items
We're unable to accept returns on sale items, gift cards, or personalised products.
