Lockwood HQ Has Moved
Lockwood Premium British Smocks has a new home. After a period of transition that tested our patience more than once, headquarters has officially moved from Windsor to Brierley Hill in the heart of the Black Country. It feels right. Brierley Hill sits at the centre of one of Britain’s great manufacturing regions, and moving here puts us closer to our factory and closer to the people who actually make what we sell. That proximity matters to us. It is a statement of intent as much as it is a practical decision. We are a British-made brand. Being rooted in British manufacturing country is exactly where we should be.
Badminton Horse Trials Our Biggest Stand to Date
As I write this, we have just returned from setting up our initial stand at Badminton Horse Trials. Tomorrow we go back with the stock, get everything in place, and then we’re on site for the duration of the event.
This is a significant moment for Lockwood. Our stand this year is six metres by six metres our largest to date and for a debut appearance at Badminton International Horse Trials, we think that says everything about the direction this brand is heading. We don’t do things quietly. We back ourselves, we back our product, and we back the people who have supported us to get here.
Because it is their support that has made this possible. Every customer who has bought a smock, shared a post, left a review, or turned up to a show already knowing who we are you are the reason we can walk into Badminton with a stand that size and mean it. There is a clear, demonstrable demand for all-British made outerwear. You’ve shown us that. We’re not going to waste it.
What We’re Expecting to Fly This Week
Looking at the forecast for Badminton this week, we are quietly confident about what’s going to move. The Knightsbridge quarter-zip has already been a firm favourite over the last few weeks and rightly so. But with the weather shaping up the way it is, we have a feeling the Olive Sherpa Gilet is going to be a barnstormer. Likewise the Vintage Henry and Vintage Arthur Smocks both built for exactly this kind of British spring weather. Proper kit, for a proper event.

A Personal Note — and a Dream That Drives This
There’s something else about Badminton that sits a little deeper for me personally. Long before Lockwood existed, my mother and I shared a dream of breeding a horse together and one day competing at events like this one. Badminton International Horse Trials is the pinnacle of the sport. Walking onto these grounds — even as a brand founder rather than a competitor — carries a weight that is hard to put into words.
That dream hasn’t gone anywhere. If anything, being here in this capacity makes it feel more real, not less. One day, the Lockwood name will be at Badminton in more ways than one. For now, we’ll take the six-by-six stand and everything it represents.
It’s been a long road from Windsor. Brierley Hill feels like the beginning of the next chapter. And Badminton feels like the right place to open it.
